Changelog

[BETA] Loomkeep 1.6.0

New import sources, a new home for your books, and a reworked front door for Loomkeep.

New

  • Import from Trakt and Simkl: two new ways to bring in your watch history alongside TV Time. Trakt imports from your account data export file; Simkl connects directly via its own sign-in flow. Both bring in your favorites, ratings, and rewatches where the data allows it.
  • A reworked landing page: loomkeep.app has a brand new look, in French and English, showcasing what the app can do.
  • A themed error page when you land on a broken or outdated link, instead of a generic blank one.

🔧 Improvements

  • Books now come from Open Library instead of the Google Books API — no more API key requirements or "Powered by Google" branding for anyone self-hosting, and generally a richer, more up-to-date catalogue.
  • Movies now show a watched status and books a reading-progress bar on their cards, matching what games and music already had.
  • Filters, sorting, and search now survive the back button — no more losing your place when you tap into an item and come back.
  • Data source attribution: a new "Sources de données" section in Settings credits TMDB, Open Library, OMDb, AniList, IGDB and MusicBrainz, with their logos shown next to the data they provide.
  • Emails from Loomkeep (password changes, new-device alerts, welcome...) now have clickable buttons, and you can unsubscribe from the newsletter without logging in.
  • Switched the Ko-fi donation button away from an embedded widget, so it no longer loads anything from Ko-fi's servers until you actually click it.
  • Unconfigured import sources (Steam, Trakt, Simkl on some self-hosted instances) now show as unavailable instead of leading into an import flow that could only fail.
  • Hover to favorite: a star now appears right on the poster of anything in your library or search results, so you can favorite it in one click without opening the item.
  • Logout button in the sidebar (desktop) and menu (mobile) — no more digging through settings to sign out.

Thanks for continuing to help shape Loomkeep — see you next time!
